‘It’s a beautiful day’ started out as a project that was to be completed as part of my final year degree course. The project brief was to take something that is normally perceived as negative and find the positive.
Old age can sometimes be tarnished with negativity. Meeting Sheila, listening to her stories and being in her company has transformed my project into a personal work of joy, pleasure and engagement. I hope this project can show the privilege, beauty and fun in healthspan longevity.
Through working on this project I have had a glimpse into the long and varied life of Sheila.
I have gotten to know Sheila, eavesdropping into her world of a life full of fun, passion, thoughtfulness, consideration for others and laughter.
I am inspired by her optimism and zest for life.
Thank you Sheila
